House Preparation

We've been in full-blown house remodel for a little over a week now. We cut a huge hole in the wall between our living room / kitchen and we're installing a countertop / bar there.

We've painted the entire upstairs, and we've cleared everything out of the rooms. Which leaves the 'spare' bedroom completely empty and freshly painted.

I think some suspicions are arising ;)

We painted it gray. I know, I've already heard from the father-in-law, "Well, it's not really a nursery color." I think this helped diffuse any of their suspicions.

I painted it gray for a few reasons. One being that the other bedroom upstairs (our bedroom) is gray. The other being that gray is very neutral. This isn't going to be our forever house and when we move I don't want to have to repaint a baby blue or pink room. I don't think I'm the type of person that would really paint a room in my house blue / pink / other pastel color anyway. No matter what.

It looks fantastic! I'll be able to accent it perfectly with colors to emphasize the sex of our future baby :)
