It's definitely childish, but I've learned to stop sharing any hypothetical baby information like: names, announcing ideas, nursery themes. Because, I have learned the hard way, that when you share this information it inevitably gets 'stolen.'
Having said that, I can't not share this. Out of thin air the other day my husband in an Autism-like episode spouted out the name, June.
My immediate response was: eww. I've told him 'no' every day since.
I mocked and said, "What... will we call her June bug?"
Regret.
Ever since then, he's been running around randomly shouting, "June bug." He even text it to me several times one day. And every time we have a discussion about our baby, he calls he/she June bug.
He had a dream that he's recently starting seeing as maybe a sign or God thing that we have a girl. He also believes that her name is suppose to be June. He said it resonates within him.
A lot of people we know wouldn't agree with the name strictly because of its babynames.com (or similar website equivalent) meaning. However, we strongly disagree with those 'meanings.' I mean, who got to decide those anyway? Names are what you make them and their meanings are specific to the individual.
I don't like the name because I think it sounds ancient and I just don't... like it. It isn't clicking with me.
