25 Weeks

About the baby:

By the 25th week, you may be able to notice that your baby has resting and alert periods (sleeping/awake). You'll also notice fetal activity more readily when you're not as active. Those nice rhythmical motions of daily motions make for nice napping environments, but get too still and your little one will be wiggling around wide awake. Your baby's hearing has continued to develop too - and they may even be able to notice difference in sounds (like differences between mom and dad's voice, etc.).

Well, this week has been hectic of course. It's stupid that you get the slightest glitch in your pregnancy and they tell you not to stress about it. Of course I'm worried. For one, my education and career have educated me well on children and development from fetus through adulthood status. I know the statistics.

Of course I'm going to worry. I also know what the statistics are of premature birth once having problems like these anyway.

However, I'm trying not to worry about the "science" part of it. God has blessed my life with this tiny little soul. His plan is greater than anything I can even pretend to imagine. A little soul that He loved before ever sending to me, that He knew before I even dreamed of. I just have to let my faith out win my fears. That just feels easier said than done at the moment :(

For the first time in my pregnancy… I've felt pretty miserable. I've been in a lot of discomfort. I've been cramping in the lower abdomen, my sides, and lower back. I've been worried. I've been stressed. Granted, a lot of my complaints aren't strictly pregnancy related they're enough to put a damper on it.

Nolan's movements have felt more sporadic too. Whereas I'd felt like they were getting more consistent. He is getting bigger though and he can produce some pretty big movements for a little man. My little man.

Dear Lovebug,
As much as I want to see your precious, sweet face… you better keep it hidden until Spring!
Love,
Mommy
