3D/4D Ultrasound (29.2 Weeks)

I'd been on the fence about 3D/4D ultrasounds. At first I thought maybe they were silly to do, because the time frames for best face shots only leaves you a few months until you really get to see your baby anyway. However, when I reached that point in my pregnancy I found myself wanting to do it. So I started shopping around. 

It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be and that contributed to my decision to just do it ;)

We ended up going to Expectations Ultrasound in St. Louis (http://www.expectationsultrasound.com/). The lady was awesome and dedicated to helping us get the best glimpse we could get. I would highly recommend this particular place/lady to anyone considering getting 3D/4D ultrasounds.

Once we got started she discovered that my placenta was on top instead of on bottom, which made it a little more difficult because you need fluid between the probe and the object you're wanting to see. But instead, we had a placenta between the probe and what we were wanting to see. She was determined though, and helped me maneuver around and get him all riled up so that he was at least moving a lot - which was giving us glimpses of those sweet, chubby cheeks. In the mean time she captured pretty cute images of feet/hands too. 

It was pretty amazing. Admittedly, some of the images are still a little freaky but I could see more of his features than I thought I'd be able to. That's my baby. I still have these moments of "Am I really about to have a baby?" I've planned for him for so long (it feels) that sometimes it's just still surreal to me.

Now I'm even more anxious to meet him (don't get the wrong idea, little man - you're staying in there until March)!

We got a 30 minute DVD of the session, a lot of still images on a CD, and several prints. But, we just uploaded about a 5 minute clip. Take a peek at our sweet boy:
