About the baby:
By week 10, all of your baby's vital organs have been formed and are starting to work together. Hard to believe just a few weeks ago your baby was only a small ball of cells, huh?
As external changes such as the separation of fingers and toes and the disappearance of the tail takes place, internal developments are taking place too. Tooth buds form inside the mouth, and if you're having a boy, his testes will begin producing the male hormone testosterone.
This also marks the end of the embryonic period — in general, the embryo now has a distinctly human appearance - and your wee one has graduated up to fetus status!
I think I've been feeling some better this week as far as the nausea goes. I'm still having the bladder pain on and off which is so frustrating! I'm also still pretty tired all the time! Maybe I should take a few days to just lay around and sleep as much as possible before jumping back into my classroom in a few more weeks!
The irritability is still high. Lol. Poor hubs. Half of the time when I evaluate my mood, I can't even say why it is that I feel irritable. I just do.
Per a friend's fb status... I've been craving Fritos this week! And I'm still on this pretzel M&M kick :/ Why can't I crave healthy things?!
Also, the jeans I put on this morning definitely feel tighter than I remember them feeling!
I haven't gained any weight yet - not since being pregnant. Sadly, with the resetting of the pelvis earlier in the summer and the no working out part of that I had gained 3 or 4 pounds before getting pregnant! Gah! I'd hoped to lose about 5 more pounds before carrying a baby around, but… oh well. It is what it is.
I finally received the okay to start working out again from all of the doctors! And I got my prenatal workout routine last week! Now… just to force myself to do it and make sure my heart rate doesn't go above 140 bpm. Let's see how that works out for me :/ Your heart rate - on average - runs about 20 bpm faster during pregnancy anyway! I might have to invest in a heart rate watch or something.
