7 Weeks

Today is 7 weeks! :)  I'm not sure I'll be able to do this on a weekly basis consistently. We'll see. Maybe I'll switch to biweekly.

About the baby:

Your baby is constantly adapting to life inside the uterus. By week 7, the umbilical cord has formed. It will be your baby’s connection to you throughout your pregnancy, providing oxygen and nourishment for your baby and disposing of your baby's wastes. In addition, your baby's digestive tract and lungs continue to form.

Your baby's face is taking shape. The mouth, nostrils, ears, and eyes are some of the facial features that become more defined this week.

The arm bud that developed just last week has a hand on the end of it, which looks like a tiny paddle.

Major discomforts are extreme nausea - still not vomiting though! I'm a fighter. And extreme tiredness.

I added pre-baby picture in this post: Possible
I updated 6 Week post to include picture and "about baby" section here: 6 Weeks
